Engineering Technician (Electro Mechanical Testing)

Help us become the standard in the laboratory automation field by providing our customers with the Ultimate Automation Experience™.  The Engineering Technician will write and review the protocols and reports to characterize subsystem functions and validate product performance before release to production.  We’re seeking a high energy, detail and quality oriented individual to work in our product development group.  Our ideal candidate has demonstrated success working in a fast paced development environment. 

Responsibilities include:

●  Develop test plans for electromechanical subsystems and products
●  Validate engineering designs through testing and generate reports that communicate the results
●  Act as liaison for conducting certification tests at outside laboratories (CE)
●  System level troubleshooting (mechanical, electrical, software)
●  Make recommendations for enhancements / improvements
●  Maintain pool of development instruments and test equipment
●  Assist in prototype assembly - cable assembly, mechanical subsystems

• Oscilloscope operation
• Force measurement techniques

·         Circuit analysis / troubleshooting
·         Basic machining skills
·         Excellent communication skills, written and oral
·         Ability to be productive and work collaboratively with team members from multiple disciplines
·         Ability to follow both written and verbal direction, and to ask questions when needed
·         Friendly, flexible and energetic demeanor, with outstanding problem solving skills Education/Experience
·         AA or EET degree (or equivalent)
·         3+ years of relevant testing technician experience in a product development environment
·         Experience writing testing protocols, reports, or related engineering documentation
·         Computer proficiency, including MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
·         Excellent organizational skills, and the ability to achieve objectives with minimal supervision
·         Experience dealing with external testing parties (laboratories, etc.)
